VESSELS FIT FOR THE MASTER’S USE (Part 5)

Bible Passage: 2 Timothy 2 : 1-14.

Memory Verse: "So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me His prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,…" (2 Tim. 1:8 NIV.)

LESSON FOCUS

In place of being ashamed of the Lord, our testimony to Him should be marked by courage, boldness and power. It should be purpose and goal-driven as against the case of beating about the bush, guess-work, uncertainty and lack of confidence in the One we are testifying to.

LESSON INTRODUCTION

2 Tim. 2:11-13 teach us that suffering for the sake of Christ will be followed by glory. So

How do we disown the Lord?

What and what could cause one to be ashamed of, or to disown, Him?

The consequence is so severe we must not give room to those things, situations or even relationships that may cause us to disown Him. Matth. 18:8-9.

LESSON OUTLINE : THE LORD JESUS IS A GLORIOUS KING;

THERE IS NO NEED TO BE ASHAMED OF HIM

Who is described in Rev. 19:11-16? What do we make of Phil. 2:5-11?

That being the case, why be intimidated instead of witnessing boldly for Him? 2 Tim.1:7.

So they cannot afford to turn their back on God or fight against His purpose.

Matth. 29:18-20; Jer. 29:11.

SUMMARY
