Bonbon Cookies



Maraschino cherries individually wrapped in a sugary cookie coating.

Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup LAND O LAKESŪ Butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup maraschino cherries, drained

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat sugar, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
Stir in flour and salt; mix well.
Wrap about 1 tablespoon of dough around a maraschino cherry.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; bake for 12-15 minutes.
Transfer cookies to a wire rack; let cool. Makes about 36 cookies.

Cooking Tips
Try adding one semi-sweetened chocolate chip inside the cherry prior to wrapping it or drizzle with melted white or dark chocolate.
