MembershipMembership is open to anyone who lives and owns property in the neighborhood served by Castlewood Neighborhood. A. Residents (those who own, rent or lease in the area) a fee of $12 per year or 1.00 per month-two votes. B. Property Owners (those who own property in the area, but reside else where) a fee of $6.00 per year or $.50 per month - one vote The treasurer will collect dues annually for the fiscal year beginning in January. Meeting:There Shall be a minimum of four (4) regular business meeting per year, one of which shall be for the election of officers at the November meeting. Board meeting are to be held as needed. In an emergency, any board member may request a board meeting; and if four board members agree to a state of emergency a board meeting will be called. the board will set the dates of the regular meeting and assist the program chairman in obtaining meaningful, timely and pertinent programs. Roberts Rules of Order will be used at all meetings. Notification of meetings will be adequate to allow ease of planning Elections:A Five Member nominating committee shall be appointed by the president with the advice and consent of the board no later than November. this committee shall nominate president, vice president, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, and treasurer. These nominations shall be made known prior to election meeting. At the election meeting, nominations may be made from the floor. The candidates with the majority of votes cast are elected. Castlewood Neighborhood Association shall publish a directory of Castlewood area residents. Committees:The president may appoint as many committees as the tasks facing the association warrant. A committee must have a chairman and a minimum of two members. Members may serve on multiple committees. Area Representation:The neighborhood will be divided into specific areas as designated by the association board.
