Hello my friends in Radio land.
my name is chafik. In arabic,the word "chafik" means : "some one who has deep sympathy whith others".

I live in Had Kourt, a very small village about 130 Km north west of capital city RABAT. I have obtained my licence in septembre 2003. I went on air for the first time on 27 Mars 2004.
I am using IC706MKII 100W maximum. the antenna system is a homemade full size G5RV feeded with about 9 m of homemade twin lead, then a coaxial cable takes the road to my shack. I actually operate on all bands with a manual antenna tuner MFJ 949, with decents results.

My personnals: Born on 1973, married. I have two daugthers. Rabab,the oldest, has 4 years old. She "assists" me in turning on the rig and the Pc whenever i want to enter my shack to operate!! but sometimes, she produces also some QRM! when she try to speak into the mike, althought, she just begin to speak arabic flawllesly ( our native language). I work as teacher of PHILOSOPHY in public secondary school ( classe terminale), named ALFARABI. Alfarabi was a great Arabo-Islamic Philosopher in the Middels Ages, and a great commentator of Plato. Leo Straus devoted a study to him

As you may notice,My academic backgrounds are far away from radios and electronics fields! But I dont manage any effort in order to learn about this topics.
