Fifth Grade Curriculum
Core Content
What do fifth graders need to know
in order to be proficient Kentucky students?
Fifth Graders will be assessed on the following content using the Kentucky Core Content Tests (part of the CATS - Commonwealth Accountability Testing System) during April 23 - May 4, 2007.   The testing will occur during this state mandated testing window. PLEASE do not schedule family vacations during this time or the week prior.
PARENTS: The "Take the Test Online" (from the Kentucky Department of Education) project allows parents, teachers and the general public to see and understand the Kentucky Core Content Test process. Access and print out the materials and then follow the directions for taking and scoring the test. There are other resources available to you such as a slide show presentation and video and audio clips explaining the process. So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead! Take the Test! Currently this link is unavailable; I have contacted KDE asking them to reactivate this link.

Due to an issue with Geocities, I am unable to type in the ENTIRE URL for you to access the core content statement links directly.  The best way to view those standards, as well as RELEASED items from previous years' tests, visit the KDE website, and follow the Quick Links to Core Content Assessment.
These links are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them.
If you need to download Adobe, please click here.   It is a free download.
