About the Projects
The Junior Performance Projects were created to give the third year actors their first experience with performance work in a conservatory environment. The rehearsal and performance project is primatily an educational one. The productions will have very little production values or budget for scenery, costumes or properties. Except for "pulled" costumes and a rep lighting plot they are unsupported by production or design staff or students.

The primary goal is to illustrate to the actors what will be expected of them in a professional setting with regard to behavior, etiquette, and rehearsal demeanor before they begin their studio shows with graduate and undergraduate directors.

The class is an arm of the third year Acting class and, as such, will approach some of the "style" questions which that class introduces.

The projects have a three week rehearsal period with a week of technical runs which will primarily serve the lighting designers as they implement a rep plot which will function for each of the projects.
