II. GET DUES
IN NOW!!!! This is serious. You can leave the money with Mrs. C,
slide it under her door, bring it to Sara's apartment. GET
THEM
IN!
III. Fundraising Ideas
A. Community
Dance Day
1. Idea - Organize a Sat. convention to bring in local
children and young adults interested in dance and have classes taught
by Orchesis
and Umbrella members.
2. Committee Head - Taylor
St. John
Committee Members - Jill Garcia,
Jennifer Beaujean, Meghan Immekus, Jessica Vann
3. Plan so far - Look into getting lunch vouchers from
Fast Break and hold classes til mid-afternoon. Afterwards, there
will be
showcase put on by members
of Orchesis and Umbrella. We would charge a small registration
fee to cover costs and
help with our fundraising needs.
B. Date a
Dancer Auction
1. Idea - Hold an auction at a bar for about two hours and
then have the date directly afterwards as a group.
2. Committee Head - Stephanie
Lopez
Committee Members - Meghan
Immekus, Jen Daniels, Taylor St. John
3. Plan so far - Start the bidding at about $5.00 so that
everyone gets at least that.
C. Dance Party
1. Idea - Wayside-type dance party in the dance studio.
2. Committee Head - Sara
Allstetter
Committee Members - Meghan Immekus
(noticing a trend? :-)), Michele Hasso
3. Plan so far - We are going to get Rob, who used to be
in Orchesis, to DJ and try to get platforms from the Wayside.
There would be a
$3.00 cover
charge. We still need to look into getting refreshments.
