STOP MOTION MOVIES

These take a long time to make.

Most the time, I use Legos.

Sometimes toy cars.

MUSIC VIDEOS - In high school, I experimented with stop motion to make 3 music videos, all to Oingo Boingo songs. Well... in 2005, I was asked to make a music video for a band called Daiquiri, and in my opinion, everything else was practice up until then. Their music video took me 50 hours to make, but it was worth it!

WATCH THE DAIQUIRI MUSIC VIDEO!

LEGO DEATH - Lego men dying; blood everywhere. I've got stabbing, shooting, burning, chopping, smashing, and a whole lot of hurting. Over 15 hours of work went into this one, yet it is only a little over a minute long. Some like this Lego man movie the best, probably because it's nothing but violence. The music videos have other images that are not always violent. Damn, what was I thinking?

CARS - Toy cars crashing into eachoother. These only take 2 to 4 hours to make, but I don't think they're as fun to watch as Lego men being brutally murdered. The first stop motion movie I ever made was with a toy car. All it did was go from one side of the screen to the other. That was it. But hey, it led to better things.

OTHER LEGO MAN MOVIES - They're funny, too. I did one for drama class about a Lego version of Oedipus...where the Lego man sees his wife/mother who just hung herself, then stabs out his eyes. Most people in that class thought I was a very sick man. My first Lego film was about a lonely guy who tries to kill himself by jumping off a trash can. Another Lego man film I made was just a big sword fight. These are very short, and usually not as good as my other ones.
