A collection of small mammals from Fukien, Southeast China, in the Museum für Tierkunde Dresden, Germany is described. 27 species are represented in 203 specimens in the form of skins, stuffed skins and skulls. All but few specimens represent one sample, collected in Kuatun, at an elevation of about 2000 m NN, and some in Shaowu in the late 1930s. Few individual specimens were collected earlier. For some species, especially Niviventer fulvescens, N. confucianus, Tamiops maritimus and Melogale small series are present which are dealt with in more detail. The presented occurrences of the presented species coincide with their known geographical distributions, only in the case of Tamiops macclellandi and Eothenomys inez a new record for Fukien might be given.
The described sample of small mammals from Fukien is an addition to the collection from the same area in the Museum Koenig in Bonn, comprising small and large mammals described by LEHMANN (1955).
