Max and Tess Arguments

Why Tess is better for Max?

Because she's not whiny
2- Because she won't give up on him ever
3- Because he knew her before he met her
4- Because "it was meant to be."
5- Chemistry =)
6- Because she was lonely growing up with Nasedo but says it's okay because she found him.
7- Because Max is drawn to her
8- Because their love is written in the stars
9- Because she's not afraid of aliens. (referring to a Max/Liz conversation in Four Square)
10- Because Liz is annoying. Tess isn't. And Max is so much cooler when he's with Tess.

Why Max oughta be with Tess

This is where we Rebels can strut our stuff, proof or our enlightenment, supporting our claims that Max/Tess is better than Max/Liz. Just to get us started, now a carefully edited rant by AlienAngel:

Max and Liz are horrible influences on each other. Yeah, yeah, sure they "love" each other. But it's unhealthy! Max is a serious guy, he doesn't need a chick who will make him even more serious. And if you watch the episodes carefully, all his decisions that involve Liz are made rashly and with disregard to the other people he cares about. Most of his actions revolve around her, making him a bad leader. If he wants to stay with her and pursue this self destructive relationship, I say he hand over leadership to Michael. Max can't have Liz and expect to be able to lead them safely into war. He'll get them all killed and where will he be then? He is under her thrall and because of her, we have seen some of the more dislikable traits of his character. She brings out the worst in him, and her influence causes him to deny his heritage. His alien side. Liz is also affected adversely by their relationship. She has had all this trauma happen to her because of it. She's become more self absorbed (although she already was self absorbed to begin w/, IMHO) and I honestly didn't start to truly with a passion dislike her until AFTER her and Max hooked up. And no ladies, it wasn't because I was jealous ;)

Tess on the other hand would bring out the best in him. Her spunk and would alleviate the stress of being a leader, let him kick back and be care free once in a while. Her opposing thoughts challenge his own, and would help them form stronger strategies and help them stay alive. But their identical heritages would keep them together. She knows the responsibility that is laid upon all four of them, so she would encourage Max to make decisions for the greater good of their people. Force him to think unselfishly. Her personality,though, can't stand to be serious for too long so you know that their relationship would still be fun and full of laughs. She'd benifit from him too. While she'd bring out the alien in him, and make his quiet, serious self more out going and care free, he'd bring out the human in her. He'd love her and let her feel that love. He'd allow her to feel emotions that she's suppressed most of her life. They are a strong duo. They're conflicting personalities but shared heritages make them like these 2 jigsaw pieces that fit together perfectly to form a part of the big picture, the Four Square. United, they stand with a bond that is unbreakable. Also, Tess fully accepts and understands Max. Liz doesn't. Because his alien side "scares" her. He's like a kewl science experiment for her who saved her life, which also brings in the victim/savior relationship complex. Tess doesn't try to change, or repress Max. (i.e. this also applies to Mi/I) She can accept and understand what he's going through because more or less, she's been through it to.

I've ranted long enough on my views, so now it's your turn...

Why Max HAS to be with Tess. If that isnt obvious enough with DESTINY alone... Here are my reasons.

1. Because everytime I see Max and Liz together I want to BARF...
2. Because Liz treats Max like a PUPPET... He deserves SO much Better than that. He deserves what Tess can give him.
3. Tess can teach Max about himself, show him what it is to be King. And treat him like he is SOMEBODY.
4. Just because I said so - and Liz is an Annoying Cow... Ive seen the 2nd Season of Roswell *even though Im in Australia - I got someone to send a tape from the US. And Im not sure what the Max & Liz shippers see in them. She neglects all her friends and behaves like a stuttering idiot everytime someone asks her a serious question. Ok, I admit it I despise Liz - but I dont hate her... Like you guys put it, Hate is such a StronK word to use... :)

My Reasons by Kakia

1) Because destiny ALWAYS prevails.
2) Because we don't want to be hit by the bus.
3) Because Max would be a great husband.
4) Because the king and the queen should be together (I know, a radical idea).
5) Because he has that dark, dark hair, and she's almost blonde enough to be a Viking (Book 1 reference).
6) Because Michael/Maria, Michael/Isabel, and Alex/Isabel also have that brunet/blonde thing going on.
7) Because when they finally do get together, we can laugh at all the anti-Rebels.
8) Because when their children come to Earth, they'll be expecting to see their parents together.
9) Because she's genocidal, which might help in the war.
10) Because even Nicholas could sense it.
11) Because she's not afraid of aliens.
12) Because he's not afraid to be a half-human, half-alien freakazoid.
13) Because Liz and Max could never reproduce, anyway.
14) Because alien sex is better, baby!
15) Because they're "in for a treat."
16) Because Nasedo said so.
17) Because the Hussy gets what she wants.
18) Because he knows it's called mindWARPing.
19) Because he doesn't mind when she mindwarps him.

24) Because alien powers are kinky if used right.
