Teardrops like rain gently fall
Washing away the sadness
Bring peace once again to us all

Calmness returns to us
Like silken waves of comfort
Ebbing into our very souls
Washing away the hurt

The oceans voice a mighty roar
Drowning out all earthly cries
There is darkness all around
No stars up in the skies

After the storm passes
Washed upon the shore
Tragedies remembered
Hearts broken evermore

Reflections from the moonlight
Cast now upon gentle waves
The storm gone, but not forgotten
Different memories each one saves

Look upward to the heavens
To find your own guiding star
Beyond the storm of hatred
You have come so very far

Look out from the darkness
And find the brightest light
To guide you on your way
To things you know are right
