Second New Casting for 2007
CMNL ukvan range
The new casting is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter NCV3 panel van and Traveliner minibus and will be designed to satisfy the requirements of the United Kingdom / Ireland market.
Therefore, the items under the ukvan range will be released in right-hand drive configuration and to a scale of 1 : 76 that will fit in with the most commonly collected items in 00 scale.
The version of the new Sprinter that CMNL has chosen to replicate is the long-wheelbase version (4325mm) with high roof.
CMNL is taking this bold step to introduce the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter NCV3 onto the UK market because it realises collectors' need to have such a vehicle available a) as a standalone vehicle for model collections, b) to enhance bus dioramas by providing the basis for operators' ancillary & support vehicles, c) as detail to enhance the modern street scene unconnected with the bus operators' vehicles featured on a diorama and d) to enhance model railway enthusiasts' layouts.
As the tooling is developed, further announcements will follow enclosing additional detail.
