| The M.S.University of Baroda (Department of Physics ,Faculty of Science) will host a National Conference on Condensed Matter and Materials Physics (CMMP06) during January,19-21, 2006. All technical sessions, plenary lectures and invited talks will be held at Department of Physics. A wide spectrum of topics of importance for the science, engineering and technology of the materials will be discussed. The event being a National Conference of the M.S.University of Baroda, some of the leading national scientists will deliver invited lectures at the conference. These lectures will be open to the conference participants. Exhibitors will also be given space in this conference to display the equipments from some sectors of materials science and engineering communities. More than 100 delegates from countrywide presenting roughly 150 abstracts are anticipated to attend the conference. The proceedings of the conference will be published in a journal. Each author will be intimated later. The Conference is meant as a national forum for the presentation and discussion of novel scientific ideas, in a field of condensed matter and materials physics with special emphasis on the following subjects: - Mesoscopic Physics and Nanomaterials - Statistical Mechanics - Biological Physics and Soft Matter - Correlated Electron System - Materials at High Pressure - Geophysically Important Materials |
