Most of the pix came from the offical program or press guide, and didn't scan very well. The higher resolution pix came out a bit better, but then they would take forever to load. I figure these are good enough for my purposes.
I'm not saying any of these guys were my best friends or anything; some I only knew well enough to say hi to. But I could probably tell you a funny story about any one of them - like the time Tom Scanlon was in the press box and tipped his chair backwards, falling with a loud crash during the middle of a game. Or when Glade Pauley and Bill Baily teased each other about their interesting neckties. Some I hung out with at Varsity Club or team parties, a few I interviewed for Lantern news stories. I even got to know a couple of their parents, like Andy Browne and Mike Farley's dads, who attended quite a few games. |
