| The Most Wonderful Time of the Year ? By Coleen Mitchell In a blink of a eye, this time of year has arrived again; Back to School. With it comes the rush to local department stores for supplies and ugh.... attire. I will be spending the next two weeks rushing my children through projects that they had all summer to do. Realigning "Bedtime" to a more resonable time for academic acchievment. Lastly, I will try to organize the kids for success by giving them the items they need and setting up a quiet "learning" area. In the kids eyes I will just convert back to the "Ogre" that was last seen in June. This odessey usally starts in August. I first set the kids up for all thier needed health appointments; doctor, dentist, eye doctor and go from there. One of them usually have to go to a specialist or two. This can take me right up to the week of school. In between all this I have to cram the shopping, projects, and organizing. Once again, I have found that the computer and internet can make my life easier. The children can choose clothing from various Department stores online, and then we can have the lovely debate that usually follows, in the comfort of our own home, instead of the Juniors Department. Ordering the needed school supplies can also be done online. Office Depot * offers free delivery for a purchase of $50.00 or more and they will give the school of your choice 5% of the purchase price for thier supplies. There are some things I just do not feel comfortable ordering online though, Shoes would be one example. But the time saved by doing some of these things online gives me more time to do those "fun" things like; covering books and sharpening pencils.
