What Types of Coffee are There?
Coffee is a popular beverage made from beans of the coffee tree, which have been cleaned, dried, roasted, ground, and brewed with water to extract their flavor.

Cappuccino: Gets its name from the Italian order of Catholic Capuchin monks, whose hooded robes resemble the drink's cap of foam in shape and color. The frothed milk from the top of the steaming pitcher is spooned on top to "cap" the cappuccino and retain heat. The proportion of espresso to steamed and frothed milk for cappuccino is usually 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk on top, dusted with chocolate powder or cocoa shavings.

Espresso: Refers to espresso-roast coffee beans that, when brewed, produce a strong, full-flavored, bittersweet beverage. For the most intense flavor, brew double strength, using twice the amount of ground coffee or half the amount of water called for in brewing instructions. Comes from the Latin word "Expresere" which means "to press out."

Latte: A shot or two of espresso that has been poured into a cup filled with steamed milk and topped off with foamed milk (about a 1/4").

Mocha Latte: One shot of espresso and one shot of chocolate syrup topped with hot milk and topped with steamed milk froth, dusted with chocolate powder, and topped with whipped cream. A wonderful treat like the "christian mocha latte" program.

Cafe Latte: One shot espresso, topped with hot milk, topped with one centimeter creamy layer of microfoam served in a latte glass.

Cafe Mocha: This drink can be prepared a variety of ways, but basically this is a chocolate cafe latte. A shot of chocolate syrup, a shot of espresso, topped with steamed milk, a layer of whipped cream and then sprinkled with chocolate.

Java: Coffee from Java, established by the Dutch with plants taken from Malabar, and referred by us Americans to mean "a cup of caffeine" a slang expression as it were.

Cup of Joe': American slang for a cup of coffee.

Tea: Ancient Chinese Secret Drink! Comes from the orient, China to be exact. Types of tea include herbal, Earl Grey, Jasmine, Oolong, Ginseng, etc.
