Carlos de la Mora is a Mexico City architect born in Paris, France in 1971.
As a graduate student at
SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, his first visit to Ensenada was for Vendimia during the summer of 1998. It was here, mostly through his friend Benito Molina , that he immersed himself in the fascinating world of wine in Mexico. In the words of Antonio Badan, "Carlos came here for Vendimia and then just never left".
It was a year or so later, during a visit to
Adobe Guadalupe's then recently planted vineyards,  when Carlos met Wyatt Peabody. Amongst other projects, Carlos is reponsible for the label design for Hugo D'Acosta's Acrata wines.

Carlos did in fact leave Ensenada after living there for almost three years, taking a position as Food & Beverage Manager at
The Standard Hotel in Los Angeles with Laurent Fraticelli.
He later embarked on an 18 month project with support from the State of
Baja California, Chateau Camou and Santo Tomas, in which he dilligently promoted Vinos de Baja California from an office in New York City.

Carlos continues to promote Ensenada and its wines while pursuing intelligent and respectful development projects in
Valle de Guadalupe. He lives in San Diego, California and works as Business Development Manager for Nolte de Mexico, overseeing project development in the Baja California region.
