| Jacob's Birthday Story After a full day of labor, Jacob was born via emergency c-section right on his due date. He was a big boy and whoa that head! Just wouldn't fit through the door! When his heartrate dropped at every push, the Dr. called for a c-section which sent everyone scrambling. 30 minutes later, Jacob arrived safe and sound! All we could hear the Dr's and nurses say was "He's so big!" As soon as they cleaned him up and put him in his Daddy's arms he immediately quieted and sat contently looking all around the room. The pediatrician said she'd seen nothing like it and he seemed like he was already 2 weeks old! We brought Jacob home on Friday. Like any first baby, the first days are exhausting! The boy really likes to sleep and getting him to eat right has been a bit of a challenge, but we're working hard at it! When he's sleeping, he looks especially angelic. Of course, Mommy and Daddy are a little biased! The picture above is mommy's favorite which she took 2 days after he was born. Thank you to everyone for sending congratulations and well wishes! Mommy and Jacob are doing well with the world's greatest Daddy taking good care of us both! As Jacob's Mommy feels up to it she'll be sure add lots more pictures of him to the website for everyone to see! |
