Welcome to the Smith Homestead. Some people label unexplained happenings or what works out on our behalf a coincidence. Others call it fate. But for me, it is evidence of divine intervention into our ordinary lives. That is exactly what has happened. God has brought so many Blessings into my life.
The Smith Homestead will be merging with The Helvick Home this year. We have set a date for our marriage, June 12th 2004. It has been many years since I planned a wedding and I forgot all the small details that go into making it a beautiful day. This time around, I have a few more people to think about. Our honeymoon is a one night trip and then is off to St. Louis with all 5 kids! It will be an exciting time:).
2004 offers many new adventures, of which we are ready to take on. College is going great for me. Emi has made "high honors" in the first half of her freshman year of high school, as well as being the freshman class homecoming attendant. She has been in the school play and has gone out for track and is a discus thrower and shot put tosser :) Tim is in Boy Scouts and has won first place in a "Raingutter Regatta" and second place in the "Pinewood Derby."Thanks to Gary for his expert help on both activiites! Hannah is excelling in school and also is in Girl Scouts. They seem to have adjusted nicely to the changes imposed upon them. Check back often for updates.. |
