CM Gamer

CM Gamer, the perfect CM site? Well almost this site has probably the best graphical layout of all CM Sites. There affiliated with everyone who matters including the massive Soccer Gaming. CM Gamer also does hosting, infact it will be hosting my site. (Jarfurs CM Homepage, http://cmjarf.cjb.net) I'll start at the top, firstly CM Gamer updates about twice daily. Sheikh one of the most hard working webmasters on the net (in my opinion) has done a great job. IN the top section named "Daily Update" the have a place where you can submit your news, view news and they tell you the news that they have added. They also offer you the ability to bookmark CM Gamer. The next section is called "Features" it consists of a downloads section, help centre, news fropm in and around the CM Scene, GFX & Skins (graphics) and tutorials. The downloads section is excellent they have a wide variety of downloads from downloads for CM 2 to CM 00/00, from utilities to updates, this section has it all. The next section is entitiled "Editorials. It has 5 major sections; named newsletter, story archive, reviews, interviews and columns. The section that jumped out at me was the interviews section. I couldn't believe that they had interviewed the people that they had. The had interviewed Matt Holme, webmaster of soccer gaming and Matt Geneste, webmaster of the massive, The Dugout. It seems if your called Matt you have a good chance of making a decent CM website. The CM 00/01 section isn't overly impressive, i'll assume that i's a work in progress, this section consists of; players, staff, tactics, training, hints and tips and cheats. This really annoys me when people entitle there sections cheats because there isn't any cheats for cm just bugs. Never-the-less i checked out the players and staff sections and i was very impressed, i immediately noticed the shear effort that they had put into these singular sections. The have masses upon masses of players. The section "CM 00/01, Players" is a must visit when visiting CM Gamer. The CM 99/00 section is not very impressive either, it actually has less content than CM 00/01. It consists of; players, staff, tactics and cheats sections. The tactics section is the best part of this section. (if there is one) This was a disappointment for me as it lets down the whole site. (in viewing CM Gamer i would tell you to miss the CM 99/00 section) Then we come onto the older versions of CM. Versions 1 and 2. I didn't expect much from these sections as not many people have a lot on these games as a lot of sites weren't around when these games were in there prime, i feel that it would be unfair of me to comment on these sections. Then we come to a nice little section called "Fan Centre". This consists of quite a lot of good CM material, including; competitions, submission forms, IRC users, ICQ Dir, (ICQ directory) webmaster biographies, CM 00 opinions, CM4 ideas and feedback. This isn't really reviewable material as it is mainly links and things submitted from readers but still it is a nice feature. Then e come to a section that is becoming a standard feature of cm sites, the "about us" section this holds the standard; our staff, join the team and link to us section as well as a hosted sites section (this is a section telling you which site that CM Gamer hosts, i hope to see mine in this section soon) it also has a section called "credits". The we come to a very nice feature called "services" it consist of; free e-mail, cm hoo, free hosting, web design and top sites sections. CM Gamer was designed by Sheikh, he does free web designs he ahs his own site, the link is in the "services" section. CM Gamer also offer a very special, very unique section entitled "spot the ball". You have to pick a letter on an image of a footy match to guess where the ball is. It is currently in the 3rd round so you can not start playing now.

In conclusion i would say that CM Gamer is probably the second biggest site hits wise in the cm scene, coming second to the dugout. I feel that CM Gamer has already lived up to a lot of it's potential but it could become the best site in the cm scene, in my opinion.
