Many colleges and universities across the country, get great funding for their projects. I think that I and many other robotics builders around the world, have achieve a great deal without thousands and even million of dollars in funding. It would be nice to have a team of engineers and fundings like the one universities get. Bulding a robot is no easy task, believe me, but building a biped is even harder. The following is a list of the hardest and most difficult phases of building my biped. Building the frame, it takes lots of time, specially if you are not a mechanical engineer. The actuators, I had to learn a lot about pneumatics, and had to do lots of research on which valves to buy. The interface, so many choices, bulding an interface card is no easy task, it was the most painful part of this project. The wiring and soldering, another monotonous task, I hate it. The pneumatics, ever try to balance a robot with a 12v Walmart pressure pump. The programming and the sensors, was the best part of bulding the robot, because that is what I like to do. There would be no limits to what my robot could do if I only had a small portion of those fundings. I'm looking for funds for this project. Any donation would greatly be appreciated and rewarded.
Thank you |
