  • P.L.A.N.E.T. Organic, Golden Bay, New Zealand (28 Mar - 13 Dec 2004)
    P.L.A.N.E.T. Organic is a training centre for organics, permaculture, community planning/action and facilitation, which provides individuals with knowledge and skills that empower them as facilitators for bioregional self-reliance. P.L.A.N.E.T. Organic's educational approach is a combination of experiential and academic learning.
  • Eco-Village Training, Findhorn, Scotland (7 February - 5 March 2004)
    The training, based at the Findhorn Foundation's demonstration Ecovillage Project, is in 8 separate modules, which may be attended as a whole or separately. It is a capacity building programme, designed to make optimum use of the information available from the Findhorn Foundation Ecovillage Project, and to provide a practical forum for learning, and for developing action plans.
  • Sustainable Village Design, The Farm's Ecovillage Training Center, Summertown, TN, USA - The Farm community (17 June - 20 June 2004
    Site selection, master planning and pattern design for Ecovillage; consensus and conflict resolution, financial aspects, work issues, best practices. Participants will join the final part of our permaculture course to learn ecology, energy and resource conservation, social and community skills, and the economics of sustainability.   • Village Design Practicum, The Farm's Ecovillage Training Center, Summertown, TN, USA - The Farm community (21 June - 25 June 2004
    This is the second half of the complete village design course for a conservation community. Participants will actually design a full-scale conservation community under the supervision of master planners and architects. Students who would like college credit for this course may register through their university. Live and work in an ecovillage for a week and get a sense of the issues.
