Skybridge - Bomb/Defuse & Hostage rescue by Gordon Lee (cmg_lee@yahoo.com) April 2001 csde_skybridge is a hybrid defusion/rescue map based on the skybridge of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ts & CTs duke it out on 5 levels of the bridge (and a tightrope strung across the base). Since the action takes place hundreds of feet up, slips are deadly! The tower interiors are completely fictitious. The towers are also smaller than life-size to save wpolys and stay within the +-4096-unit limit. Installation: Unzip csde_skybridge.bsp, csde_skybridge.txt and csde_skybridge.rbl into your cstrike\maps directory. If you wish to modify the map, unzip csde_skybridge.map (Worldcraft) or csde_skybridge.qkm (Quark). Bugs: 1. wpolys have grown past 700. Help with hint brushes or other ways to reduce r_speeds most welcome. 2. Terrorists can push the hostages off the bridge after breaking the windows. They do not die but are beyond reach of CTs. 3. Realbots have a lemming-like tendency to commit suicide! Changes since beta1: 1. Modified geometry/textures/lights/sounds for more realism & smaller sky-box. 2. Moved hostages for Terrorists' use as human shields. 3. Reduced damage from falls in lift-shaft using trigger_gravity. 4. Added cameras for starting "slide show". 5. Added fairy lights to tightrope a la Entrapment -- good thing it doesn't snap this time! Being a counter-map newbie, I'm sure csde_skybridge has much room for improvement, so feel free to modify or reuse my map. I'd love to see what you can come up with! Enjoy :-)
