Canali/Canelli - Bomb/Defuse & Hostage rescue by CMG Lee (cmg_lee@yahoo.com) csde_canali is a sniper-friendly defusion/rescue map set in a small Venice village. The killer innovation is rising & falling tides which cover & uncover areas. There are 3 modes of combat: Land - Conventional warfare on 8 islands connected by 5 bridges. Sea - Swim in the canals & sewers to avoid snipers. Air - Roam the village's rooftops. Beware of Vassili! csde_canelli is the prepared-assault version. Players cannot buy arms, but there are shotguns scattered around the map. Note that shotguns don't work underwater! Features: 1. Tides Use the sewer when the water level is low. Climb up to land from the canals at high tide. There's a manual override too! 2. Breakable bridges Destroy 2 key bridges to slow down your enemy. 3. Hidden weapons Execute daring aerobatics to recover the AWP & M249 (if they can be reached by hostage/buddy-jumping, please tell me how.) 4. Pushable furniture Use cupboards as shields, chairs as decoys & tables to block entrances. Installation: Unzip csde_canali.bsp, csde_canali.txt, csde_canali.rbl, csde_canali.bsp, csde_canali.txt & csde_canali.rbl into your cstrike\maps directory. If you wish to modify the map, unzip csde_canelli.qkm (Quark) or csde_canelli.map (other map-editors). Bugs (please help): 1. Bombs armed in water do not explode, so don't! 2. Wpolys a bit high (700+ at the corners). 3. Tides don't always work. 4. Furniture embeds itself into walls. Changes from beta1: 1. Enlarged some islands. 2. Removed VIP mime to reduce epolys. 3.
