Runaway part 1

Changed event Cinderella gets locked in her room but the duke leaves before she gets out and she runs off to prove she’s the girl at the ball
“You’re the only ladies of the house? “ the duke asked “There’s no one else “ Lady termaine answered “Good day, “ the duke said as he left. Termaine went to let Cinderella out. Cinderella headed downstairs and raced out the door “They will never believe her. She will be locked away, “ Termaine said as she watched Cinderella run off. She had expected this to happen. Back at the palace the prince sobbed at the bad news “It’s impossible she’s got to be out their somewhere, “ “I searched every house and no one fit the slipper, “the duke told him “This is a disgrace someone is pulling something on us, “the king screamed “I don’t see anything suggesting that. I just don’t understand why she would run off. Where’s the list of all the maidens in the kingdom? Lets look and see who didn’t get called up before me when that lady showed up, “The prince suggested. They got the list out and started with Anastasia and Drizella. “No she was there. They were there. “ The prince slowly checked the list but there were few names after the stepsisters. “Cinderella who is she? Well she wasn’t at the ball that I know of?” the prince thought. The prince wondered if she could have been the mystery girl. “Get a carriage ready I am going to pay a visit to Lady Termaine, “Prince charming told the duke. Cinderella headed towards the palace unaware of the prince’s plans.
Prince charming arrived at the Termaine house. “We are honored your highness please come in, “ Lady Termaine answered. Anastasia and Drizella fainted at the sight of the prince. “I am looking for Cinderella, “ He explained, “Why she wasn’t at the ball, “Termaine responded, “I know she lives here. My father’s orders were for every maiden to attend and if she didn’t then why? “He asked “and why didn’t she get to try on the slipper? “ “My daughters ripped up her dress because she used some of their things on it and because she didn’t go I felt she didn’t need to try the slipper she’s just..” The prince cut her off “Liar you tried to defy a royal command. The penalty is imprisonment and maybe death. I don’t think you wanted her to attend. Where’s her room? “ “Upstairs in the tower I will take you there. “ Termaine explained. Cinderella tried to get into the palace but the guards chased her away. The duke had been sent to town to question people about the ball. He wanted to help the prince find the girl he met at the ball. The prince looked around Cinderella’s room. He found the ripped pink dress and the scraps of material from it that Cinderella collected and put in the closet under the dress. The prince saw a sewing book lying on the floor he picked it up. “So that’s what the dress looked like. Nice design too bad it’s wrecked, “Prince Charming commented, “Take the dress, scraps and book back to the palace. If the seamstress can’t fix the dress then she will have to make a new one. Where is Cinderella? “He asked “I locked her up here so she couldn’t try on the slipper because I heard her humming the waltz from the ball. When I let her out she ran away and I think she has the other slipper will her, “ “I believe you for once and there’s only one place she would go to the palace. Arrest Lady Termaine and bring her with us, “prince charming ordered. “Let’s get back to the palace and wait for Cinderella, “he continued. As the carriage with prince charming, lady termaine, and her daughters headed back through town no one knew Cinderella was sitting in an alley crying. She felt her chance to prove herself to the prince was ruined and she was not going back to being a servant. The duke still questioned people in town.
