Rock & Roll to Fakie
The Rock to Fakie is not exactly the easiest trick to learn to do, as it can lead to a hangup while coming back down and that could mean pain.Once landed, it is much easier every time afterwards, much like most tricks.
1. ride up the transition at a moderate speed, fast enough just to reach the lip.
2. when your wheels are about to ride over the lip, you'll want to do a small manual to prevent them from popping off the coping.
3. stiffen the front leg, pushing the board into the rock and roll position, and prepare to come back down fakie.
4. lean back just a bit to get even with the transition and bend your front leg, while at the same time straightening your back leg causing a tiny fakie manual to happen.
5. keep your nose up a bit with that fakie maual just long enough to pass upthe coping and press your wheels back against the ramp.
6. turn your head to look at the approaching transition and get ready to do a half-cab kickflip to indy revert out.
*Tips*
1. always try new tricks on a smaller ramp first
