Dropping In
Dropping in is fairly simple, and once you try it once, you won't be as afraid second time around. Just stick at it and don't hesitate. 1. place board in drop in position on the coping. 2. put back foot firmly into place on tail. 3. get your guts together and put front foot up ontop of the bolts holding the front trucks to your board. 4. stand straight up, back leg straight, front leg slightly bent and begin to lean forward. 5. as you are leaning forward your front leg will bend more and shortly afterwards extend your front leg, pressing the front wheels to the ramp. 6. ride up the other side and hope you don't fall.
*Tips* 1. during the learning stages, it works well to hold the tip of your nose as you are dropping in and let go when you push the wheels to the ramp. this aids in centering your weight over the board and keeps your body more even with the transition.
