| When Bethany left for college, I started working on a t-shirt quilt to give her for Christmas. I'd been saving the shirts since she was about 5, and had even cut out the fronts to have them ready to put into a quilt "someday." Well, that "someday" finally came, and the quilt made her very happy on Christmas morning. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| When our dear friend Jesse moved to Texas, I made her a small wallhanging with Texas themed fabrics -- the wallhanging kept growing and became a lap quilt. I used yellow rose printed fabric for the back -- "The Yellow Rose of Texas." The label says it all -- both in Pittsburghese and with a Texas twang. |
