Usher Positions Description


Here is a brief job description of each position:

Position Duties
Ushers (Inside Church Hall):
- Maintain a clear pathway for the priest to go in and out of the church hall.
- Collect offerings.
- Direct flow of people during Holy Communion.
- Assist all people attending mass for whatever need.

(Traffic Team):
- Direct traffic inside the church property (and St. Vincent de Paul Elementary if necessary) to maintain smooth flow of traffic.

Group Leaders - Assign duties for the group members.
- Acts as the bridge between the committee and the group members.

Chief Coordinator - Coordinates all internal activities.
- Coordinates and takes charge at all special masses.
Secretary - Remind members of meetings and take minutes at meetings.
- Publication of newsletter.
Treasurer - Keeps Usher Group accounts, prepare and balance budgets.
- Assist with treasurer duties on all Usher Group projects.
Auditor - Audits Usher Group accounts.
Membership Coordinator - Keeps and updates membership list.
- Prepare attendance forms and membership badges.
- Register new ushers and re-register existing ushers.
- Relate with appropriate body for certifying volunteer work.
Spiritual Coordinator - Organize spiritual activities for the Usher Group.
Project Coordinator - Coordinates all external activities.
- Attend external project meetings on behalf of the Usher Group.
- Assist in the Usher Group's special projects.
Traffic Coordinator - Arrange ushers traffic duties.
