In Remembrance  of the September 11,2001,World Trade Center and the Pentagon Attacks.

WHY?

As the smoke clears and the rubble begins to disappear.

As the echoes of the yelling and crying are still heard.

As tempers flair due to despair.

Our souls are sadden, our hearts broken.

From the old man on the corner to the little child in the crib.

One remembers, One will learn

The sound of war may soon be heard.

For violence rings loud and true-

The hate and disrespect for human life has shown through.

We ponder and ask why? 

For we can not understand

Why man turns to violence to try to make another understand.
