| " The Laramie Project " Sands Theater Center - DeLand, Fl. Set/Lighting Design/ Assistant Director/ Stage Manager Very few photos of this production exist. The set consisted of a large screen Upstage, in which slides for each ' Moment ' were shown. There were 4 platforms of various sizes and heights. The tallest of which; 4 ' .... The show played in rep with a " StoryBook Children's Theater " production and had to be struck nightly, as this was initially slated as a " Stage Two " production...yet based on the crucial message , was moved to the much larger Mainstage. This particular production ( per the Director's choice ) consisted of 25 actors , as opposed to the 8 in which the original script calls for. Opening weekend for our show was 5 years from the day that Matthew Shepard passed as a result of atrocious acts of hatred. |
