" Agnes of  God " Academy Theatre - Meadville, Pa.
This show was performed with the audience seated on stage , in 3/4 round ( 125 folding chairs.....were placed in rows, in a semi circle around a 15' performance area.) The reason for doing this was  that the entire historical theater, house and seats were being restored, replaced and refurbished . The blue " drop " was a parachute , hung from the balcony railing  to the stage apron, painted and lit from under  and above ...symbolic of ascension... at the top of the drop ( near the top of balcony , stood a 6' luan cut out of an angel which " overlooked  the entire production in a dim back light .The levels of its back lighting slowly increased intensity throughout ...growing to full by the end of the production.
