Childhood Memories - Helpful Tips in getting your items together
Your video can be a treasure for future generations

GETTING STARTED
The hardest part about getting your photographic materials transferred to video is...GETTING STARTED! Let's face it, you probably have accumulated a PILE of movies, slides, and photos through the years. Unless you already have them organized, the thought of gathering it all together can be a little frightening!

PLAN IT OUT...the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Once on video, you will enjoy seeing those old memories more often and have more fun looking at the!

ITEMS TO INCLUDE IN THIS VIDEO
Photographs (wallet size up to 8x10), digital media (photo cd, compact flash, SD card, memory stick, XD card) - birth announcement card - Newspaper clippings.

PUT THEM IN ORDER Most people put their materials in sequence, from the early years to present day. You can watch your children grow and change as the years pass...it makes a fun video for all to enjoy! Label your items in the sequence of your choice. I will randomly put your films on video, too! This REALY makes a fun video! Seeing those old memories that you haven't seen for years will give you hours of family fun!

USE TITLES TO TELL THE STORY and identify the who, what, where, and when in your video. If you don't use any other captions, 1-I particularly need a title with the children's names, possibly their birth dates. 2-Maybe a Best Wishes or something to that effect at the very end. Remember, one of the benefits of video transfer is preserving family history recorded for future generations. Titles can tell the story long after we have passed on...please take the time to tell it! Use a sheet of paper to list your titles and dates that should be included. Your children's children will be glad you did it!

MUSIC...IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!
Would you watch TV with the sound turned off? Of course, not! Our background music adds a professional dimension to your video, it will truly make your video more entertaining and enjoyable. Sometimes I even add sound effects in areas to really make the event come to life. I offer a wide variety of music or you have the option to provide your own music on CD! Make sure you include at least 10 songs. I may not use all of them, but I would have extras just in case you supply more pictures, etc.

WARNING - Reading these tips may give you ideas of doing a complete family history on video to share with relatives and friends.
