My Soccer Team
Since after our o level finish in 1998, we have meet every Saturday to play soccer together at Tampines ST 82, behind the Tampines swimming pool, most of the members in the team is from former Springfield sec.
Between nov 1998 to april 1999, the average attendance of the team every Saturday was 20 ppl.
Between june 1999 to march 2000, the average attendance of the team was 15 ppl.
But now due to studies, projects in poly and schools, some working on Saturdays, hardly we can gather at least 12 ppl every Saturday. Only once in a blue moon, we can at least have 16 ppl.
As for the regulars players like liang bin , khalid , marcus , kim pin and his brothers, they are the most faithful players which come down every sat, they are the one who really makes the team going and continue, i must say sorry to them, as since yr 2 in poly , my attendances in soccer has been quite bad, or sometimes i come late. SORRY GUYS!!! OEI! those who are looking at this page, u must also feel guilty ok, some also long time never come down liao, must operate your batteries hor, dun let LAB calling u all.
I dun think we will continue long in this soccer, as many of us is yr 3 in poly now, all graduates soon, all must go army liao, sure no time. I hope this sat will continue forever...................
18 August 2001, we had our first testimonial match for junkai, which he is going to serve the country for 2 and half years, that means he will leave us, all his Saturdays morning will be burn. Spend his saturday morning missing us and also the ball. That day only 13 ppl came.
1 September 2001, that day was another testimonial match for 2 person, it was kim pin and Aaron. That is was a record attendance of 23 ppl turn up. we form into 5 teams to play league soccer. Lesile also come back from injury, guest player were guan chye, azmi, soon loeng and some kim's brother friends, they came specially for the testimonial match. kim pin's brother team and my team played the first match, base on basketball court soccer Singapore rules (1 ball out), just 3 min of game, kim pin's brother open the curtain with a 20 metres stunning shot that went past me. That day we play till very late about 1pm then we end.
Don't know the next testimonial match will be whose, just two week, 3 ppl left liao. The team is getting lesser and lesser. Don/t know my testimonial match, there will be how many ppl left to play with me. I think of my testimonial match is somewhere in next may 2002, right after my last paper in poly. About june, i think i will be going to PTP, then my BMT. Because i know my fitness sure cannot make it, gain weights in poly days.
Lets hope after 2 and half years, we can get back together play soccer again, or maybe change the burned saturday soccer into Sunday.
Hey! we are promoting Singapore world cup 2010 u know!! although we play at basketball court. So please residents there, dun force or rush us out the court, police just stay away from us.

already 1 year plus never go there play soccer liao, my Saturdays are no more soccer liao...
