Hints for AOL
users
- America
Online customers who experience problems using the
Colorado Casino Chip and Related Collector Information
pages can improve performance by using Netscape
Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer to
access this web site. If you do not already have
one of these browsers on your computer, here are some
simple steps for downloading and installing a stand-alone
version of the Netscape Navigator or the Microsoft
Internet Explorer web browsers.
- Using one of
these other browsers rather than the built-in AOL
browser, will solve many problems associated with
accessing the World Wide Web through AOL.
- Here's how to
proceed if you do not already have one of these browsers
on your computer:
Download version
5.0 or later of either of these Web Sites: Internet
Explorer
or Netscape
Navigator.
Install the
downloaded browser software on your computer. (You'll find
installation instructions at the Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator download Web sites.)
After you
successfully install your new browser, restart your computer.
Sign on to AOL and
stay at the AOL Welcome Page. (Note: You must
sign on to AOL before proceeding or setup your Browser to use AOL
as the IP, Internet Provider.)
Keep AOL running
in the background and start your newly installed Internet
Explorer or Netscape browser. The new browser will use your AOL
connection.
- If you have
problems getting your new browser to work with AOL, go to
the AOL Member Services area, click "Internet &
World Wide Web," then double click the "Using
other browsers with AOL" topic. This page will give
you more advice on how to use another browser with AOL.
Your Internet
Exploration should be a pleasant experience, a journey into
other worlds, not a "Bad Road Trip". I hope
this helps. Bon Voyage!
