Repentance and restitution
I once took a magazine (previously enjoyed) from a lady I babysat for. I didn't think anything
of it b/c I knew that she had already read it. Years later, when I got saved, the Lord reminded
me of that and I wrote her a letter and enclosed $10. I explained to her that I was now a
Christian and felt that I must correct that wrong which had been bothering me. I never heard
from her again but I know that the Lord would have used that letter as a testimony of His
goodness ( I shared my testimony with her).
Isn't it great that the Holy Spirit lives in us?
Spring, 2002
Just heard one of the saddest and hardest messages at church this evening...
Our pastor's father (who is our asst. pastor) just passed away on Friday after a special service.
He was 65 yr. old and a great man of God! His son preached all three services today about him
and his life in the ministry and how we are to "Finish Well" (title of the message).
Just hearing him talk about Pastor Cam in the past tense put a lump in my throat and I thought I
would burst into tears any minute. I can't imagine how he felt after losing his dad less than 48
hrs ago????????????
I miss him already. He was a strong believer and if you were sick, he was at your bedside
speaking the Word over you! I feel like the rug has been pulled out from underneath us. The one
good feeling I have is that I KNOW he was ushered into heaven by angels who stood at attention
and welcomed him HOME! That is comforting but at the moment he is still missed so much down
here......
The funeral service will be packed (we have over 6000 members) and not enough room in our church
to have all these people there!!!!! I am debating staying home and remembering him as I last saw
him - with a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye!
