Our Easter Activities
~page authored by Wendy.
We had a really good time together this easter.
This year was the first year that Jackson colored Easter
Eggs~he had a ball! We tried two new methods of coloring easter eggs.
The first way we tried was
Sticker Stencil Eggs. They were really fun to do,
and Jackson had a good time putting the stickers on the eggs.
The second way we tried was
Dripped on Designs in which cement glue was included.....that was really more for my amazement than anything! ;o)
While the coloring of the eggs was really fun, I made sure
that Jackson and I made some
Easter Story Cookies as well. This is a very important activity
for our household, and as long as there are children in our house,
we will be doing the cookies every Easter! Next year we plan on incorporating
the
colors of Easter along with the egg-dying process, to make it more Christ
centered. Jay and I have done the easter Story Cookies for 3 years now,
the past 2 years being after Jackson went to bed. ;o)
Jackson gave me an Easter moment I will never forget
this year! As I was simplifying the Easter story for him, I asked him="
Jackson~what do you know about Jesus?".....and he looked me
straight in the eye, and said "Jesus loooovvees ME!" That was enough
to bring tears to my eyes! NOW~on with the pictures! :o)
First, though, Jackson had to take his bath. ;o) Please do not think we are
allowing him to rebel with crazy hairstyles already~he was spending the night with
his "nae-nae" a few days before easter, and found a pair of her scissors. That
explains his "Old English" hairstyle in the following pictures!
