High Schooler's Refusal
I am not the high school stereotype
or any stereotype for that matter
I am a klutzy dancer of 16 years
Soaring mostly because I've tripped
I am not logical
nor am I realistic
I fall to the ground
and cry onld when I see the blood
I am a hypocrite, but one hoping to find
a way to practice what some may preach.
I am an obsessive-compulsive lunatic
with every bit of pride for both labels
According to my name and mission
I am a helper to mankind
And according to my heart and spirit
I am forever God's child
And through all good qualities and faults
I strive to be a good person
For God, for others, and for myself.
