Sorry, Wrong Number

Sorry Wrong Number is a play about a bed-ridden woman named Mrs. Elbert Stevenson. (Go Beth!) She tries to call her husband at work, but instead cuts in on another phone call. She can hear the people talking, but they can't hear her. It turns out that it's these two guys that are plotting the murder of some old woman that night. Mrs. Stevenson freaks out, and ends up calling about every operator there is. (which, if that is really the case, there are about 6 operators in existence) She calls the police (yay Jason!) who don't care and just want to eat lunch (at 11:00 pm...kinda suspicious, isn't it?), and she tries to get all of the operators to trace the call. She can't trace the call, so she ends up calling information (yay Renee!) to get the number of the nearby hospital (yay Noelle!) so she can hire a nurse for the night. THey won't send her a nurse without a doctor's recommendation, so she gets all pissed about it. And then Western Union (yay Zane!) with a telegram from her husband saying that he had an emergency business trip and would be home the next day. Once again, the senile old lady freaks out. At that point, she hears someone on the downstairs phone and finally realizes that it was her murder that the two people were plotting. She calls the police, and they answer the phone just in time to hear the killer's (yay Andy!) line of "Sorry, Wrong Number." Or, "LINE!" So that's it. Pretty much. Go senile old ladies! 1
