Because the Nerve chat space is down for the forseeable future. We can go back there when it's back in operation.
Go to our alternate page at Maxracks. In addition to going there through that web page, you may also go there with an IRC chat client, using this server information:
Server: chat.automat.com
Port: 6667
If the site above doesn't work, try the alternate page at
.
In addition to going there through that web page, you may also go there with an IRC chat client, using this server information:
Server: chat.talkcity.com
Port: 6667
If that channel is taken over by someone obnoxious,
try one of these alternates instead:
Nerve1,
Nerve2,
Nerve3,
Nerve4,
Nerve5.
Add chat to your web site with the
Chat @ Talk City
program.
If the first TalkCity link (also immediately above) doesn't work, try one of these instead:
If you come into the chat channel through a web page link on this page, we reccomend selecting the EZ Talk Pro ("more features") chat program, rather than the EZ Talk Lite ("loads faster") chat program. You may find that you get better results using a special "IRC chat client" program, instead of the "EZ" programs. (The "EZ" programs are written in Java, which doesn't work very well on some systems.) Click on the type of system you're using for more information about chat programs for that system: Windows 95, Windows 3.x, Macintosh, or WebTV. If you already have an IRC chat client, you can skip to IRC information.
We also reccomend ICQ, which allows you to keep track of whether your friends are using the Internet any time you are. It doesn't work on WebTV, at least not that SteveS knows of.
