If you come into the chat channel through a web page link on this page, we reccomend selecting the EZ Talk Pro ("more features") chat program, rather than the EZ Talk Lite ("loads faster") chat program. You may find that you get better results using a special "IRC chat client" program, instead of the "EZ" programs. (The "EZ" programs are written in Java, which doesn't work very well on some systems.) Click on the type of system you're using for more information about chat programs for that system: Windows 95, Windows 3.x, Macintosh, or WebTV. If you already have an IRC chat client, you can skip to IRC information.
We also reccomend ICQ, which allows you to keep track of whether your friends are using the Internet any time you are. It doesn't work on WebTV, at least not that SteveS knows of.
