What is Club Volleyball?

Club Volleyball, also known as Junior Olympic Volleyball, is an organized group of regionalized volleyball teams who travel both nationally and locally to compete against other teams in their specific age brackets.  Teams generally consist of girls from various schools in their geographic area.

Teams are classified by the age of the individuals:

14 and under - born on or after September 1, 1987
15 and under - born on or after September 1, 1986
16 and under - born on or after September 1, 1985
17 and under - born on or after September 1, 1984
18 and under - born on or after September 1, 1983

or were high school students in the twelfth (12th) grade
or below during the current academic year and are 19
years of age or younger (born after September 1, 1982)

We will have teams in multiple age groups, provided we have enough coaches and interest.  We will support travel teams, which will require a high level of commitment.
CLUB NEPA
2001-2002 INFORMATION SHEET
My daughter plays other winter and spring sports.  Can she still participate?

It is possible to participate in other sports and still play club volleyball.  However, club volleyball works best for those who have very few other commitments.  You and your daughter should think long and hard before committing.  If there is a will there is a way, but we expect as much commitment to our program as you would give to a high school program.  We will be as flexible as can reasonably be expected.
How much does it cost to play for Club NEPA?

$200 is the standard fee for our travel teams.  This is extremely low for this type of club.

What does my daughter receive for the fee?

Our travel teams compete on approximately 8 -10 play dates.  Additionally, they will practice 1-2 times per week from January until Memorial Day. Each player will receive two uniforms.  The fee also includes insurance and registration with KRVA and entry fees into tournaments.  Our coaches are not paid and volunteer all of their time, which is one of the main reasons why our fee is so low.  Travel is the responsibility of the player.
