OUR MISSION...…is to provide today’s traveler more than just a pretty picture from a vehicle window! All our tours provide an off the beaten track experience interwoven across our rich culture, nature and variety of adventure, with the rural village-folk being a vital role in all our activity. Integrated is our level of commitment and service with an ability to interpret and an honest-to-goodness deal to all parties concerned. We call it a win-win situation.
ABOUT US...Club Adventure is fully owned by Marlon Saldin, who personally conducts most of the tours himself. Professionally a qualified engineer, the great outdoors was a hobby for well over15 years until the birth of Club Adventure. Being an avid adventure traveler, explorer & photojournalist, he gained recognition from his reports on the vanished bird sanctuary of Kumana, the great walk of faith – Hinduism’s second longest pilgrimage & re-establishing connections to long-lost archaeological sites. He has also made many 1st descents down most rivers, pioneering river rafting, mapping out new trails for trekking and pioneering canyoning in Sri Lanka. His work is acknowledged by the Forest, Wildlife & Archaeological departments. Knowledge & experience gained in trekking the Himalayas including the Mt. Everest region, White water rafting on Internationally classified Grade V+ rivers, Canyoning down 400Ft waterfalls & free-falling from the World’s tallest jump-site, is made to good use in all activities conducted. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Tanmayee Das-India
HOW WE DO IT...We know our country best and although considered an Ecological Hotspot, our resources are not limitless. All our campsites are carry-in, carry-out with nothing fixed, furthermore we never camp at the same location twice in a calendar month. Most villages we patronize are absolutely remote, even by Sri Lankan standards. We ensure that our visits in no way disrupt or change their lifestyle. Everyone who has been with us agrees too! From every individual booking, a percentage is deposited in the Forest, Wildlife, Archaeology, and village Development fund, based on the relevance of the tour.
