...Welcome to the all new PICK IT UP! We've got a new look and a new way of doing things. Mike and I (Camran)... the two high school seniors who founded this organization... have developed a list of goals for the club. Originally created as a club for runners who want to do community service, the club has evolved... and is now going to save the world. After voluteering at countless races, running marathons, and basically seeing the good, the bad, and the ugly of running in the 21st century... these are PICK IT UP's goals: - create a database of race volunteers who will be frequently notified of any weekend volunteer opportunities. - set up recycling stations at race finish areas... so we don't throw away hundreds of plastic water bottles and energy drink cans... - have fun... keep in shape... and save the world.

7/8/2001 - The Chronicle Marathon! 7 AM... this is the big ONE! Mike and I have been training hard for what will be our second marathon. Race starts in Golden Gate Park and is basically a tour of SF. Really nice course. Health and Fitness Expo on Fri/Sat at Ft. Mason! Be there! (If you're not amazingly buff and tough like us... you could split the distance...) Fast, residential, and trail scenic loop course. Check it out on the web!
