Founded on the 12th of October 2002 lexes was the idea of 3 people to bring about a club where the tunes were up to date,random and heavy as fuck.On the top floor of the savoy (also known as termightes) We scored a deal with the manager to run an underage club once a month on a friday. Without doing any research we went into eurosurf and downloaded all the tracks that came to mind creating 7 mix cd's.The night came we probably got about 9 customers the second time round got in about 40 it went through stages of ups and down nearly shutdown with in the first 4 months but we were still learning how to promote and get people in
We started getting bands in to do an hour set in the middle of the music Some great bands Like Ember - Roper - Seraphim - Kalmiko - Calzino fiasco - Position 52 - 22 - The Swarm - Discord Either way the nights were never short of entertainment weither it was running round soaking people with water guns turning off all the lights and just leaving on the strobe to surfacing firing elastic bands at people from behind the dj box. our just blantly smoking spliffs in the cloak room we had a great laugh there but it was mostly cause all the people who came were mates and friends all looking for a good laugh after 2 years we packed up and left for dublin only to come back to start it in the globe but it wasnt the same the venue was too small there were none of the old heads and the manager was a prick |
