
With Ray Hilofsky he started a 4 page newsletter. The original dues were $2 one for each cylinder!
The club was chartered, and remains today, as an all volunteer association of past, present, and prospective Subaru 360 owners. It's mission was simply "to keep our favorite vehicles on the road and running on both cylinders".
The club was officially organized in 1980 with 87 charter members in 31 states with 140 360's. The first newsletter came out in November of 1979. As of December 1997 we now have 272 members in 43 states and 4 countries including Japan, where they are gaining almost a cult following.
