This, in turn, fosters self confidence and personal growth. Whatever your goals or ambitions may be, whether it's becoming an accomplished speaker or just feeling a greater comfort level within groups, Toastmasters is here to help. We are Club number 3096. We are a part of District 6, and are one of over 200 Toastmaster Clubs located in the Twin Cities. We officially became a chartered Club in March of 1996, and plan on remaining for everyone to use as a tool for success. Here are some frequently asked questions: How long and often are the meetings?The Speakers' Under Pressure Club meets alternate Thursdays from 12:05 pm to 1:00 pm in the Chanhassen facility of Rosemount Inc.How are duties assigned?You can sign up for the various duties at our meetings and/or select when to give speeches when you are ready. The meeting schedule is maintained on this website. You will also be contacted prior to each meeting for final confirmation of your role. You are always be encouraged to participate and develop, but will never be forced.What is the atmosphere of a typical meeting?The number one priority of our club is to provide a fun and positive environment for personal growth. In general, Toastmaster clubs can vary from very formal to very informal. Our club follows a set format for each meeting, but prefers to maintain a more informal, relaxed atmosphere that encourages fun and laughter. We undoubtably have the best people, thus, we strive to be the best club.What does membership cost?Our policy is the first 90 days of participation are free. When those 90 days are up, the initial cost to join Toastmasters is $40. After the initial payment, semi-annual dues (April and October) are $18. For these fees, members receives all their materials, awards and certificates, the "Toastmaster" magazine, and a membership card that entitles them to attend any toastmaster meeting that they choose, along with their regular club meetings. If you wish to join our club get a membership form to fill out. If you work for Rosemount, your club dues will be reimbursed by Rosemount if you complete at least 3 speeches. |
