CLUB DUES ARE DUE

Starting at this week's meeting and continuing all through September, we will be collecting 6 month dues. The dues are $18, payable to Speakers Under Pressure Toastmasters. See Treasurer Sandy Wolter to take care of this. These dues need to be collected and sent to Toastmasters International by October 1st.

  • The District 6 Spring Convention is May 2-3, 2003, at the Sheraton 4-Points in Minneapolis. Prepare to Discover Buried Treasure. Registration materials and ON-LINE registration are available at the District 6 website.

OUTSIDE OPPORTUNITIES

COUNTS TOWARDS ADVANCED LEADER AWARD
  • There is an opportunity with some home schoolers whose headquarters is located in St. Louis Park. The person to contact is Mary Hagen at 952-949-0319. She expressed an interest in possibly having two sessions; one for 12 - 15 year olds and one for older children. Contact Mary Hagen direct if you are interested.
  • Gustavo Estrada is interested in the possibility of having someone do a Youth Leadership program at Marshall High School. If you, or someone you know is interested in doing a Youth Leadership Program, Contact Gustavo at Marshall Junior High School, 207 North Fourth Street, in downtown Marshall.     TRAINING MANUALS

    Some of you received a Communication and Leadership Manual from the Club when you joined. By now, you should have gotten one from Toastmasters International. The Club would like you to return the one you aren't using so other new members can use it.

    CREST O'the HILL TOASTMASTERS

    The Crest O' The Hill Toastmasters meets the first Saturday of each month at the Richfield VFW from 8-10am. If you are interested in getting more involved with District 6 Toastmasters, this is the place to go.

    ADVANCEMENT

    If any CTM is interested in achieving their CL (Competent Leader), AL (Advanced Leader), or ATM (Advanced Toastmaster) Awards, we have all materials needed. Contact the VP of Education, Dan Klein.
