Lighting

Regular Fluorescent Lighting
Incandescent
Reef Flourescents

Lighting generally comes in two forms:  Incandescent and fluorescent.  The type you chose is up to you.  Incandescent light bulbs are usually given with 10 gallon tank setups.  The are cheaper than fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures, but give off a lot of heat.
Fluorescent light bulbs are nicer because they give off less heat, offer a wider variety of bulbs, and give off a different light in the tank itself.  Don't get me wrong, incandescent has it's advantages and they now make full spectrum incandescent bulbs which allow you to keep live plants in your tank with the use of these bulbs.  You can also keep live plants in your tank with a full spectrum fluorescent bulb as well.  Either way you go, you want enough light so that you can see your fish and the lighting that is usually supplied with the tank is sufficient.  The only thing that matters is your personal preference.
