What's New With Me?
Currently I am volunteering to teach English as a second language. I am pretty excited about this, but also scared, in a way. Mostly because I want to provide an atmosphere where I can teach and be understood. If anyone has suggestions about what I should teach, or how, I am open! I am also teaching myself Latin, and brushing up on my French, just to kick start my brain about language and its pedagogy.
Hopefully, in June, I will be going to Italy, to see my friend Ricardo and to see Rome, in the Jubilee year. Can I afford it? No. Am I going for it? Oh, HELL yeah.
Bagpiping is going well, and as you can see is a big part of my life. My band is doing really well, and we are contenders now, no longer the diletantes for which some took us to be. We are jazzed, and we are going for it. All the way baby, all the way!
Speaking of bands, Baile Ti Mor is only on hiatus right now. We are suffering the hand injury of Dave, and the ill health of, by turns, Noel and me, but soon we will be kicking butt, as we usually do.
