                  Where?

Where is my love?
Keeper of that secret heart,
She that in my darkest times:
Was there as comfort,
Solace from my hurts and cares
  Where those kisses?
Those tender times,
When time stood still,
Imprisoned in the passion of the moment.
  Where those caresses?
Like the touch of silk,
That gently woke me from my sleep,
To all the beauties of the world.
  Where these tears?
A benediction from the heart,
That passing mind and feeling both,
Flow ever from these eyes,
In remembrance of their loss.
Where are my dreams?
Those fragile thoughts of you
Gone now and broken every one,
Replaced with nightmares of sad solitude
